First regional winner emerges in the ongoing Onga Campus Cooking Contest

Regional winners have started emerging in the ongoing 2014 Onga National Campus Cooking Competition as Arafat Azeez was declared successful among all the contestants from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), Ogun State.
The campus activation of the competition, which will feature participation from 14 universities across the country, began with the UNAAB.

With the Efo riro and Eba he prepared, Azeez, the student of Environmental Resources Management of the university was outstanding and thereafter emerged the first winner in the annual competition.

The main goal of the competition organized by Onga, a seasoning from the stables of the world’s leading beverage company, Promasidor Nigeria Limited is to give students across select campuses the opportunity to sharpen their culinary skills; enlighten the public on the wide variety of dishes enjoyed by different cultures across the country; and to create an emotional bond between its target audience and the Onga brand through active engagement and one-on-one interaction.

The activation train will continue to University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Benin, University of Portharcourt and other institutions before the end of the campaign in November 2014.

14 winners will be drawn from the regionals to compete at the grand finale holding in Lagos from which a winner will emerge.

Prizes to be won include a deep freezer, gas burners and the star prize – a Kia Rio Car.
