There is an uneasy calm at the secretariat of the Olorunda Local Council Development Area of Lagos State as councillors of the LCDA have served the council chairman, Abudu Amuda, with an impeachment notice.
We learnt exclusively that the councillors have thus given the council boss seven day ultimatum to respond to several allegations levelled against him.
The councillors are accusing Amuda of reckless spendings which are out of constitutional provisions, corruption and high handedness.
As at the time of filing this report, the council boss has not responded to the allegations by the councillors, rather he has been busy running helter and skelter to elders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to assist in appealing to the councillors to sheath their swords.
On Wednesday, 25th June, 2014, elders of the party scheduled a meeting with the councillors in a bid to appeal to them, as at the time of filing this report, the report of the meeting has been made public.
Sources from the council told Naijahottestgist that Amuda has been at loggerheads with the councillors over the manner he runs the affairs of the council. He has severally been accused of being corrupt and not taking the welfare of the people into consideration.
