President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated former Governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau; Prince Adedayo Adeyeye (Ekiti); Abdul Bulama (Yobe); and Dr. Stephen Orlu (Delta) as Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was contained in a letter sent addressed to Senate President, Senator David Mark, which was read on the floor of the Senate.
The President, in the letter, sought for the confirmation of the ministerial nominees by the Senate.
Nominees from Kwara and Anambra States were not included in the names sent to the Senate.
Jonathan also attached the curriculum vitae of nominees to the letter.
The letter reads: “In accordance with Section 147 subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended, I have the honour to forward the under listed for consideration for Senate confirmation.
