Uduaghan tasks Retired Public Officers on Development Issues

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has charged retired public officials to avail the country of their experience, expertise, knowledge and wisdom in handling developmental issues.
Besides the governor enjoined politicians to play by the rules devoid of rankle and violence.
Governor Uduaghan who gave the charge Friday, at a civil reception hosted by Ibusa community in honour of Vice Admiral Dele Joseph Ezeoba [rtd], the immediate past Chief Of Naval Staff, stated that the country was passing through challenging times and would need to tap into the expertise, advice and experience of those who have been at the helm of affairs to seek for solutions .
According to him “we are in very challenging times that we need the experience and advice of the people who have been at the helm of affairs in this country….. Nigeria needs your expertise. “
“Delta State needs your wisdom and knowledge especially in the area of security. You know that one of our three point agenda is peace and security. I will soon be calling on you to avail us of your experience and expertise in tackling security issues.”
He advised politicians against overheating the polity stating that “power belongs to God and He gives it to whom He pleases, we should prevent resorting to violence and shedding of blood as no position is worthy human life.”
While commending the Obuzor of Ibusa, Prof. Louis Nwoboshi for his handling of the affairs of the community, Dr. Uduaghan charged the people of Ibusa especially the elites to intervene and solve their communal problems in-house.
He emphasised that “Ibusa has produced great men and women who have excelled in various fields, I want to appeal to Ibusa people especially these elites to cooperate and solve their problems without government intervention.”
He commended Vice Admiral Dele Joseph Ezeoba (rtd) for his meritorious service to the nation and Delta State stating that he left his marks in the sands of time as Chief of Naval Staff.
In his Remarks, Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba commended Dr. Uduaghan for developmental vision for Delta State and urged Deltans to support him to succeed in this regards.
While promising to continue to work for infrastructural projects in the town, Vice Admiral Ezeoba called for mutual cooperation and love among the people of Ibusa to ensure rapid developmental growth in Ibusa.
