President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday named Brig. Gen Jones Arogbofa (retd.) as his new Chief of Staff.
Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, disclosed this on his Twitter handle.
Abati said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Arogbofa replaces Chief Mike Oghiadomhe who was asked to resign last week.
He is currently inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja where the President’s Principal Secretary, Hassan Tukur, is handing over to him.
Tukur occupied the office of the COS in acting capacity when Oghiadomhe left last week.
