  1. Let it be known Senator Gbenga Obadara is a credible man and a good representative of our Senatorial. He was never involved in any crime in UK and anywhere in the world. He was a trail blazer and a responsible son of Egbaland. All the insinuations are political.

This is a man that was able to privatise the bundled PHCN successfully where others failed. This allegation is treacherous.

  2. Why turning politics to this to malign the best Senator that has ever come out of Ogun Central in history of political election in Ogun State. He remains the only National Assembly member that has been supporting the Governor from the inception of his administration. The party leaders in the State and National can bear witness to this including the Governor himself. I know him very well as a successful businessman of high repute. God will destroy the writer, the group and his principal. He will also put to shame all the people that are planning to destroy Senator Obadara, the Peoples Man and dutiful Senator with almost 90 projects scattered round the Senatiorial in 2years in office.

  3. We members of SIA group will not subscribe to the stupid allegations to Senator Gbenga Obadara. He is our Senator and one of the Leaders of the party in Ogun Central. He was never a fraudster or at anytime a jailbird. This us barbaric and of no substance. Please be serious and avoid the wrath of God on you and your family. He remains our Candidate for the 2015 Senatorial election.

  4. This is our saviour Senator indeed. Go to Opeji and see the beautiful community centre he built for us including the hall at Orile Ilugun, Science Laboratory building and equipment at Egba Odeda High School, community toilet and borehole at Kila, Transformer at Ijemo Fadipe, School in Matele and Bode Olude also many other constituency projects in our Odeda Local government. This is very shameful to say of our son The Most Distinguished Senator Obadara and pride. Nobody has done well like this in history. Stop this rubbish and give honour to whom honour is due. You will perish in Jesus name.

  5. Haba Eyin eniyan!!! From the english writing of the of the person that posted the stupid mail on Senator Gbenga Obadara you will know that the allegation is jaundiced. With all he has done for us in Ogun Central which the Governor has acknowledged to us many times. How come insinuating that he was using the constituency fund on himself. What is personal life got to do with his Senatorial responsibilities. Please wise up and desist from libelous issues. He remains the best at all times.

  6. Senator Olugbenga Obadara is our amiable Senator and a God sent to our Senatorial. He was never a scammer anywhere in the globe. He is very humble and dedicated. A man with lots of projects to show with only 2years in the Senate. Please check your facts before writing your rubbish. A credible for 2015 election. Carry Go jo..ire o

  7. This is man that established the Prepaid Calling card company in Nigeria as well as first electronic directory company since 1998 and you are claiming that he left United Kingdom to come and contest for Senate in 2011.

Use your brain for something positive and not unnecessary lies. He is a man of high moral standard.

  8. Onamade Adewole Mao

To hell with the publisher of this false write up.Can this be for Senator Olugbenga Obadara? A man of high integrity and sound political background. A communicationist till date, the man that brought prepaid card to Africa for the benefit of all. A sound and vocal politician,Sen Obadara the Chairman senate committee on Privatization,a member in the committee of Defence and Army, a member in the committee of Ecowas/United Nation and many more.Who call this blessing to Ogun central a benchwarmer. Please watch your back as you continue to publish false stories.

  9. All these reports are fictitious, if truly you are sure of your self, why not put it in the National daily and hear doom. How on earth can you say Senator Gbenga Ashafa is just sitting down in the house. Where where you when he sponsored a brilliant motion on the bad state of the third mainland bridge? Of which the fed Gov later concurred and made amends. Where were you when he sponsored a bill on the indigenous language in Nigeria. My friend, For ur information, Ashafa has sponsored 8bills and 2motions, together with other co sponsored bills and motions. Many empowerment Programmes for the constituents, and many more. Infact, it is obvious that you never googled about Ashafa before you come up with this fictitious and baseless report of yours. Check out Wiki pedia on him and u will be flabbergasted about the result. Surely, this blog is politically motivated to discredit these gentle men of great repute. The man dine with children of his district last dec at Eleko beach, of which no law maker has ever stoop so low in the history of this country to dine and wine with kids. And many went home with TV sets, Hi fi systems and Generating sets after a test on their indegenious languages. Blogger, I will advise you to say nothing but the truth instead of telling lies about innocent people. It is obvious you are hungry and wanted recognition at all cost. In addition, pls visit http://www.senatorgbengaashafa.com for more details on his activities. Good day.

  10. after reading this write-up i am compelled to call this smearing of image. i have been privy to happenings on the political scene especially in the National Assembly so i can speak authoritatively on this matter. for the record, Senator Shola Adeyeye participates and contributes positively to debates on the floor of the senate. Senator ‘Gbenga Ashafa, representing Lagos East Senatorial District of Lagos State has carved a niche for himself in the senate and outisde his legislative duties. This new Senator has about Eight Bills to his name and notable motions that seek to address the welfare of the masses. notable among his bills are Preservation of Indigenous Languages bill, Treaty Making (Amendment) Bill, Income Tax Holiday Bill, ) Criminal Code (Amendment). One motion that was in the newspapers and generated a lot of controversy was that on the imminent Collapse of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos which the Minister of Works admitted and led to the release of about 1Billion Naira for the first phase of the repair works.

  11. Habaaaaaaaa! See the sequential black lies by my fellow Nijalieliegist again. Just like the popular adage that ” You can fool some people all the time but NOT all the people all the time. If you have no popular geniune news for us the good people of Nija, abeg go meet the Minister for Agric make e give you Cassava Bread to Market for us.

  12. This analysis is quite laughable and obnoxious at the same time. The writer does not need to be dignified with a response but for the sake of posterity, it is safer to set the records straight.
    1. Stop attacking people. Attack issues. Calling people corrupt e.g. Senator Gbenga Ashafa is uncalled for. If you don’t know them closely, why shoot yourself in the leg and perjure yourself at the same time? It takes a corrupt man to identify one, don’t you think?
    2. You cannot call them bench-warmers. You know why? Because you have no idea of the back-room work they put into their lives as senator’s. Get closer and learn. Do your research. The NASS website is active. It is only a lazy and bereft mind that can come up with the kind of horse-shit here.
    3. I sign out. Peace be unto all men. May we never have strangers come to defecate in our households.

  13. Heeeeeeeeeeeeen! Na wa ooooooooo! I want to ask if this author/writer/blogger is conversant with the series of events in the Senate at all. The Senators mentioned here are real time performers at the Senate especially Ashafa who I saw recently on live TV commenting with facts and figures on the Year 2014 Budget flaws presented by the Federal Government. well sha, some people get eyes but dem no dey see and ear but dem no dey hear. The blogger too might be affected by the “no light palaver”, so e no dey hear news, read paper or interact with brilliant people at all.

  14. The writer of this report does not need to be dignified with a response. However, for the sake of posterity, records have to be brought to bear on their merit and claims and counter-claims verified.
    1. The basis of the report is highly nauseating and unprofessional. You have employed gutter tactics in a noble profession – writing – and it’s quite pitiable.
    2. Stop attacking people. Talk about issues and identify a way out.
    3. These senators you have mentioned are accomplished men in their own right and you can’t take it away from them. You have no idea as to the amount of work that they put into this job. And you’ll probably never know because you do not seek to.
    4. Calling a distinguished man such as Senator Gbenga Ashafa corrupt is uncalled for. You don’t even know the man! Such an accomplished person and yet you talk about him in such a manner? Well, visit http://www.senatorgbengaashafa.com. While you are at it, also remember to check him on Wikipedia too. Then, I’ll be waiting for your apology.

Note: He is not my father or uncle, as you might be led to think. I am just a lover of truth.

  15. I dont why you people always patronize this Nija liars! They have no knowledge about what they writing about. Mentioning Senator Ashafa is gross flagrance of thought. They are 419ers begging for attention.

  16. You no go ever please the world….. if you work for Public Office, you be thief….. if you no work, you be rogue….. If Ashafa works at the Ministry of Lands in Lagos, does that makes him a thief. why not go to the Ministry now and ask if any land was sold unpaid for or missing fund during his tenure. You dey find cheap popularity but now the people are wiser than before.

  17. Ashafa has done wonderfully well for the youth in his district- for the records:
    • ‘Gbenga Ashafa’s free Monthly ICT Training Programme has trained 525 youths of Lagos East Senatorial District since inception in 2011. The senator has personally given 30 Desktop Computers with printers to the best graduating students in the programme.
    • Many graduates – within and beyond the Lagos East Senatorial District – have been employed, through the Senator’s influence, into the following Federal Parastatals: Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Civil Defense Corps, the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Television Authority and Nigeria Defense Academy (Direct Service Course) , National Examination Council (NECO), Federal Airport Authority (FAAN), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, The Nigerian Pilgrims Board, National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA), National Environmental Standard and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA).etc.
    • He has also brought on stream a continuous training programme: Multi–million Naira Youth Energy Career Program (YECP) for the training of graduates on Power/Energy systems at the Siemens Power Academy in conjunction with the Lagos State Electricity Board. On completion of the six-month training internship, the participants are now engaged in one way or the other with various organizations, such as Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB), Oando Gas, Eco Solar, Marine Power, General Electric, USA and ALM Consulting.
    • Financial assistance to the constituents across the Senatorial District to expand and create more Small & Medium Scale Business (SMEs) through GBENGA ASHAFA TRUST ENDOWMENT (GATE). The essence is to reduce the number of unemployed people within the Senatorial District. The latest empowerment programme was for the women across the senatorial district where over 300 women benefitted from the scheme. Thereafter, 900 bags of rice were also distributed to 823 traders in the Senatorial District.

    • ‘GBENGA ASHAFA TRAFFIC CONTROL INITIATIVE was created to solve two major problems – to ease traffic gridlocks as well as create employment opportunities for able-bodied youths in the Senatorial District.

  20. Ashafa is a member of the following senate committees: Lands, Housing & Urban Development (Vice Chairman), Environment & Ecology, Federal Character, Gas, Senate Services.

    Thank me later.

  21. Mr blogger, what do u mean by saying the children were fed like beggars, I happened to be part of the parents at that glorious and one in town event, it was really fun all through. Most children were at the beach for the first time which definitely cannot be forgotten for a very long time to come. You also said he spends fortune in putting it in the papers, what is the purpose of organizing such a big event and not publicizing it for the outside world to see, that you testify reading it in the dailies is an indication that the man is visible to the publics, but am surprised you never see things he is doing in positive light. It will be better you desist from this act of smearing other people’s image else, a day will come that your personality will be doomed forever beyond and without repair. Think twice and do your thorough research to be a good blogger.

  22. Ogunrinde Oluwaseun

Thanks for the update, this would make other party members and also the immediate party members of the distinguished Senator know the good work the Senator had done for the few years in the Senate

  23. What do you mean by calling Ashafa names that he made corruption legal when he was at lands? Pls state your facts and figures. You can’t just say something without given it constructive and convincing evidence. If truly he didn’t do well as PS of lands, why is it that is good records on that seat is still the one to beat ever since he left. Mr NAIJA hottest gist or whatever, I will advise you find something better to do with your time.

  24. hahaaaaaa…as a igbo man living in lagos i witness the transformation happening in the ministry of Land Bureau were i process/collected my C of O in 2month after the processing. so, whoever that pays you for this false accusation must have do you bad oooooooooo.

  25. Habaaaaaaa, it is obvious that this site was created to tackle all APC members, beside this very false article, there are some on how Tinubu daughter forced market women to register for APC, and. Another false report on Gov fayemi plotting to sell gov hospital after his tenure. Obviously, the site has some political undertone. These fictitious reports can’t take you far , the senators mentioned here are performing wonderfully well, and it is even obvious again that your prime attacker here is sen Ashafa, who has performed wonderfully well as a first time senator. The previous comment have said it all anyway. A man that has debated and contributed immensely to issues in the house you calling him bench warmer. Ashafa is nothing else but a performer. Recently he warned his colleagues not to be a rubber stamp senator by stating categorically what they feel on the 2014 budget that is full of deceit. He even mentioned the so called cassava bread launched last year by GJE why we are yet to see it on the street. And among other issues. Instead of writing these you sit down there busy spoiling other people’s job. Do not be agent of evil, join the progressives now before the train passes you by.

  26. iyalayaaa anybody dat called all this Senators a benchwarmers! we get Tv and Radio for our house ooooo and we dey see this people for TV contributing/representing their constituency weller and they all have good education background not like others that went to NASS without making any contributions on national issue. fake bloggers you be

  27. This guy’s obviously don’t deserve the dignity of a response but that they and their sponsors don’t misinform the simple,it is imperative to add a bit to the justice that Bala and PRSH have done on this issue. Politics particularly in SW Nigeria has moved beyond the usual bigotry. Interestingly the writer chose the finest of technocrats to mud sling, whose service to his people and nation began with a successful carrier in the local government (how many of us would after obtaining a master’s degree in the U.S elect to work in the local govt).Bench warmers aren’t so selfless. With his achievments both at the Min of Lands and the Senate, i begin to doubt if you understand what it is to be a bench warmer.
