Just months after making a move to Cardiff City Osaze Odemwingie has now made another transfer move to join Stoke City.
Both Stoke and Cardiff reached an agreement for a swap deal involving Odemwingie and Kenwyne Jones, with the players going in opposite direction.
Since securing a move to Cardiff from West Brom last summer,Odemwingie has struggled to pick up a consistent run in the side, having netted just two goals in 17 appearances for the Welsh team.
A statement on Stoke’s official website read: “Stoke City can confirm it has reached an agreement with Cardiff City over a move for striker Peter Odemwingie that will see Kenwyne Jones head to South Wales in a player-exchange transfer.
“The deal is subject to both players passing medicals and agreeing personal terms but the Potters hope to conclude their move for the Nigerian international over the weekend.”
