AKWA IBOM COMMAND WELCOMES 384 RECRUITS AS CP AZARE CHARGES THEM ON DISCIPLINE, PROFESSIONALISM

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, today, 25th January 2025, officially received 384 newly recruited constables at the Command Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia.

Addressing the recruits during the reception, CP Azare congratulated them on their enlistment into the Nigeria Police, describing it as a call to selfless service and a responsibility to uphold justice and protect lives and property.

He charged the recruits to embrace discipline, professionalism, and total obedience to the law as the foundation of their careers. The CP warned that the Command would not tolerate any act of misconduct or corruption, emphasizing that the era of impunity in the Force is over.

The State Police Boss reiterated the importance of respecting citizens’ fundamental human rights in their duties. He also reminded the recruits of the IGP’s strict social media policy, cautioning that anyone found misusing social media platforms in ways that tarnish the image of the Force would face dire consequences.

The CP did not mince words in urging recruits with ulterior motives to reconsider their stance, stressing that the Akwa Ibom Command under his watch, operates on zero tolerance for corruption and unethical practices. He encouraged them to imbibe the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability as they begin their journey in policing.

Meanwhile, the State Police Command has again assured the public of its resolute determination to maintaining law and order while strengthening community trust through professional policing.
