Nine PDP Governors Back Suspension of Damagum, Name Ahmed Yayari as New Acting Chairman

In a major development within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nine state governors have endorsed the suspension of Iliya Damagum as the party’s Acting National Chairman, appointing Alhaji Ahmed Yayari, the current PDP Treasurer, as the new Acting National Chairman.

This decision, reportedly taken during a virtual meeting held on October 12, 2024, signals a collective effort by the party’s leadership to ensure unity and internal cohesion.
