Three years after completing the highly commended council secretariat, the Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA in Lagos, Builder Sesan Daini has unveiled the newly constructed legislative building.
At a ceremony which saw dignitaries from across the state in attendance, Daini presented the brand new edifice to the council legislators who would be using same for Parliamentary obligation.
The legislative building is named ‘Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun House’ after second republic Secretary to the Lagos State government, Reuben Olorunfunmi Basorun who is also the Asiwaju of Igbogbo.
Baba Aladura as he is fondly called also served as the commissioner for Education under the celebrated Lateef Jakande regime in the state. He is also a member of the influential APC Governance Advisory Council in Lagos.
The unveiling ceremony had in attendance functionaries from the Lagos State House of Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, Mojisola Meranda who was joined by a number of her colleagues.
The member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Babajimi Adegoke Benson unveiled the new legislative building while commending the chairman for his foresight in erecting such befitting edifice for legislative work to be done.
The Chairman of the ruling APC in Lagos, Cornelius Ojelabi also expressed his excitement over the development saying he has no regrets supporting Daini’s ambition to become chairman.
Daini was also supported at the event by some of his colleagues including Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba of Ijede, Adebisi Banjo of Ikorodu North, Wasiu Agoro of Imota, Adele Osinowo of Agboyi Ketu amongst others.
Others in attendance include former Lagos deputy governor, Abiodun Ogunleye, Senator Adeseye Ogunleye, and the Managing Director of Lagos State Property Development Commission, Ayodeji Joseph
