The following day, they arrived with building materials in hand – blocks, cement, gravel – and commenced the laying of the foundation.

Night and say they worked tirelessly and within a month, the two-bedroom bungalow stood before me, a gesture of kindness that touched my heart.

My husband was a brave soldier deployed to Zamfara State in 2014 to combat Boko Haram terrorists. Sadly, he never returned, his body was never found.
The burden of his absence weighed heavily on our family.

Soon after we lost him, we faced eviction from our barracks accommodation leaving me and my three children destitute on the streets.

It was only through the kindness of a stranger that we found temporary relief and were able to relocate to this small village.

Despite our hardships, my extended family denied us shelter in their home, compelling me to construct a humble two-room thatch dwelling for my children and me.

Selling fufu at the market became my means of providing for my family, especially as my eldest daughter completed secondary school with dreams of university education, a dream deferred by our financial constraints.

The thatch roof of our home, though a shelter, failed to withstand the windstorm , often letting in rain and wind. These conditions exacerbated my health issues, leaving me battling high blood pressure as I struggled to ensure my family’s survival in the face of adversity.

But God visited me as the Angels visited Abraham and gave me a two bedroom bungalow through Governor Umo Bassey Eno, who is me, that God has remembered?

Today I live in a well furnished two bed room flat with water tuning, powered by solar energy.

The Governor also blessed me with funds to start business and use the proceeds to train my daughter in the University, God has truly remembered us.
