Senator Cyril Fasuyi of Ekiti North Senatorial District has condemned in strongest terms the gruesome killing of a promising young man of Eda Oniyo Ekiti exaction over land boundary issue between Eda Oniyo Ekiti people and Obo Ayegunle people of Kwara State.
The Senator wonders why the two communities that have co existed peacefully for years will suddenly be at dagger drawn to claim ownership of a mere parcel of land.
The Senator appeals to all security agencies drafted to the areas to ensure that lives and properties are well secured. He enjoins the governments and boundaries commissions of Ekiti and Kwara State to wade into the matters and quickly resolve it amicably.
He commiserates with the families of the deceased and all those injured in the fracas that the government will fish out the perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to justice to serve as deterrent to others.
He enjoins everyone to live peacefully with each others and allow the government to do the needful.
