The widow of the late Nigerian judiciary icon, Justice Muri-Okunola, Alhaja Ramdalat Fehintola Muri-Okunola has implored Nigerian Market women, men and traders to be fair on the prices of foodstuffs and other goods sold to the masses. She also called for stronger support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his current efforts to make Nigeria greater.

The matriarch of the Muri-Okunola dynasty made the call during the second edition of Alhaja (Dr) Abibatu Mogaji Ramadan Lecture held in Lagos on Thursday 4th April, 2024.
Responding to a similar call made earlier in the programme by the Guest Lecturer, Imam Hakeem Kosoko, Alhaja Muri-Okunola commended the federal government under the leadership of President Tinubu on the economic engineering and policies embarked upon by the President, especially the historic crashing of the Dollar-to-Naira rate witnessed recently.
She however expressed concern that despite the reduction in the prices of dollars, prices of goods are yet to come down.
She also wondered why the prices of locally produced foodstuffs like yams, ewedu and others, that have nothing to do with Dollars, are increasing.
She therefore appealed to the market women to be fair in their prices, especially on foodstuffs.
Alhaja Muri-Okunola seized the opportunity to call on the women to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, more support in his quest to make Nigeria a better, peaceful and prosperous nation for all.

Contrary to an earlier report that Alhaja Muri-Okunola supported the market women on price increment, newsapex.ng can confirm authoritatively, that she never mentioned anything in that regard at the occasion.
The amiable and highly successful mother, Alhaja Ramdalat Fehintola Muri-Okunola is the widow of the late incorruptible Nigerian Judge, Justice Muri-Okunola who passed on in 2004 while on Holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
The late legal icon is the father of the current Principal Private Secretary to the President, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, who was represented at the Ramadan lecture by his immediate younger brother, Mr Rasheed Muri-Okunola, the General Manager of Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency.

Alhaja (Dr) Abibatu Mogaji Ramadan Lecture series is a platform initiated to honoured the memory of the late Nigerian market and political icon, Alhaja (Dr) Abibatu Mogaji, the mother of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who served as the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria in her lifetime.
The annual lecture is the brainchild of her grandson, Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) who is the current Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly.
The theme for this year’s lecture was “Rebuilding Nigeria’s Hope on Solid, Secured and Prosperous Economic Growth–Islamic Perspective”.-
