Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the national assembly and former governor of Ogun State, has demonstrated his commitment to empowering women in his constituency by sponsoring a training program through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

The programme aimed to equip women cooperatives in Ijebu Ode with essential skills to enhance their agricultural businesses.

The training, which was held recently in Abeokuta, focused on teaching the women how to effectively use equipment such as dehydrators, grinders, slicers, and sealing machines, all integral to their agricultural operations.

The Women’s Cooperative society was properly registered with SMEDAN, ensuring that they have the recognition and support needed to thrive in their business interests, while SMEDAN also donated farm machinery to the beneficiaries at the training in the state capital.
