Shubomi Fashola Claims Brother’s Human Rights Violated as He Remains in Custody

Shubomi Fashola, the sister of embattled singer Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has expressed her concern over what she perceives as a violation of her brother’s human rights. This comes in the wake of the ongoing controversy surrounding the death of MohBad and the subsequent detention of Naira Marley by authorities.

Earlier this month, a Magistrate Court ordered the remand of Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, in police custody pending the completion of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s death. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with netizens demanding justice for the deceased and questioning the prolonged detention of the popular singer.

In an Instagram post made on Saturday, Shubomi Fashola conveyed her frustration, stating that there is no concrete evidence proving her brother’s involvement in MohBad’s death. She argued that Naira Marley’s extended detention seems to be an attempt to appease the public rather than a result of substantial evidence against him.

Shubomi wrote, “Keeping someone who willingly traveled back to help in detention for nearly 30 days, with no charge, no evidence, no sufficient witness is a violation of his human rights. Keeping him in custody to appease social media and the internet mob is crazy. If you have evidence against him for anything he’s been accused of, charge him! But if you don’t release him. It shouldn’t take this long for the investigation to be done. We all want the truth! We all want justice. What is the delay? We’ve already lost one person, trying to lynch another is not going to bring about justice.”

The controversy surrounding MohBad’s death and the subsequent detention of Naira Marley continues to be a subject of heated debate and concern. While the investigation remains ongoing, the public and Naira Marley’s family are anxiously awaiting answers and justice.

Authorities have not yet provided a timeline for when the investigation will be concluded or if any charges will be filed against Naira Marley. As the situation unfolds, the spotlight remains on the need for a fair and thorough examination of the case to determine the truth surrounding MohBad’s tragic demise.
