A media company, Smailz Radio which has been in operation since 2016 has finally metamorphosed into the terrestrial phase of broadcasting after being licensed by the National Broadcast Commission (NBC) as Smailz Radio 98.7 FM.
The general News and Entertainment provider situated in Arepo suburb, Ogun State has launched its proper radio service.
According to its Founder who is also a media personality the station is offering a mix of entertainment, national news and current affairs programmes to promote African culture and traditions. This would be presented in Yoruba and English as well as our local franca referred to as pidgin.
Having completed test transmissions the station is working at full commercial operation in the month of October.
He also added that listeners could access live audio/visual feeds through the website www.smailz987fm.com as well as its Instagram handle @smailzradio or through a simple download of its app from any smart mobile phone.
According to the spokesperson of the media outfit SmailzRadio is open to collaborations with big and small media buyers and partners to and develop thriving business relationships as well as to promote Nigeria’s unity irrespective of faiths, ethnics or cultural backgrounds by helping everyone explore and find that place of their collective humanity from which we can build a society that is representative of all, and is equitable and just.
Since test transmission the feedback has been overwhelming from both listeners on across the world who listen online and on the app and those here at home who listen on their radio.
