Ijebu East Wale Adedayo: CACOL alleges police intimation, coverups over Ogun LG allocations

Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, CACOL, has raised alarm over the alleged use of the police to intimidate and cover the documented allegations of financial misappropriation by the executive governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.

Recall that the impeached chairman of Ijebu East local government, Wale Adedayo, had accused the governor of zero allocations to the grassroots ever since his assumption in office.

Since then, Adedayo has continued to battle for his freedom of movement after expressing his rights to freedom of expression as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution.

The former local government boss has been suspended, detained by DSS, impeached and then lately arrested and charged to court.

In its reaction made available to Freelanews and signed by CACOL’s chairman, Debo Adeniran, the governor is being accused of using the state’s security apparatus to intimidate critics in order to cover up his alleged gross misuse of public office and purse.
