Patrick Nebo, the late Nigerian creative legend of set and production design, can be described as Visionary he had a remarkable ability to envision and bring to life captivating sets and production designs that left a lasting impression on audiences. Nebo’s innovations constantly pushed boundaries and explored new techniques and ideas in set and production design, leaving an indelible mark on the Nigerian film industry.

I can say without any form of equivocation that his remarkable talent and creativity made him a true genius in his field, consistently delivering exceptional and awe-inspiring designs. Patrick Nebo who incidentally is a twin was a trailblazer and played a significant role in shaping and revolutionizing set and production design in Nigeria when he retuned home after his study in Italy, his creativity will leave a lasting impact on future generations.

I can say from my encounters with him that he had an unwavering passion for his craft, displaying a deep love and commitment to creating visually stunning and immersive environments that enhanced storytelling and this could be seen from the early works of Tunde kelantan and lately Kunle Afolayan. His footprints were also on works like SOWETO and Mr Johnson respectively

We can not discuss the success and growth of Nollywood without the immense contributions of Nebo who showcased his versatility by seamlessly transitioning between different genres and periods, demonstrating his adaptability and mastery of various production design styles. He paid meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of his work, ensuring that every element of the set and production design was impeccably executed.

I can say for a fact Nebo’s work influenced and inspired numerous aspiring set and production designers, leaving a profound legacy that will continue to shape the industry for years to come as he was highly regarded and admired by the industry as a whole for his exceptional talent, professionalism, and dedication to his craft.

As we moun with Patrick Nebo’s family, we can say for a fact that his contributions to the Nigerian film industry have solidified his status as an iconic figure in the history of set and production design, forever remembered for his groundbreaking work.

May his soul find rest and pray God gives the family the fortitude to bare the pain.
