First, he could not get any of the ministries he was said to have desperately desired. All efforts to change the mind of the king failed.

In fact, for the king, considering him at all was on the grounds of magnanimity. After all, his supposed contribution to his victory is now contentious.

Second, by this appointment, he has been restricted to the confines of the FCT. Effectively tamed! The king must have pondered the need to keep the friendly enemy closer.

So, keeping him within the precincts of the seat of power is the most politically smart choice for a personality like him.

He’d be monitored closely and kept in regular check. Leaving town must be with the permission of the king.

The much sought-after countrywide influence is cut off. Eskeletiolebebe… omode yi o mo meme😁😁😁

There’s a saying in Yoruba, to which I do not immediately have an apt translation, but I hope four of my ogas and egbons: Mr. Kayode Samuel, Dr. Lasisi Olagunju, Dr. Reuben Abati and Bashorun Dele Momodu will be magnanimous enough to help out.

Here: “Ara ile wa ti lo yan eko ni ibi ti owo re o ti t’agbon”.

However, my simple but basic translation is, “Our friend has chosen to play where he stands no chance at all.”

Best of luck to all the ministers. Nigeria is waiting. All eyes on you. The work at hand is not a tea party. Hit it off!
