Honey,

As the sun sets on this solemn day, I find myself wrapped in bittersweet memories of our time together, for it has been one year since you left this world, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.

Oko mi, even long after your remains were interred, your demise still seemed to me like a rumour, as I couldn’t grapple with the reality of your depature; feeling and hoping everyday, that someday, you would rise, come back home and hug me one more time.

When I closed my eyes in the short-lived sleep, I saw you; in my dreams, I saw you; and in those long lonely nights, I saw you; but all was a mirage, as it gradually dawned on me, that truly, you had gone to be with the Lord, your creator.

Today, on this one-year anniversary without you, I pay tribute to the extraordinary soul that you were and the profound impact you had on my life, our children and the lives of countless others.

From the very moment we met, it was as if destiny itself had orchestrated our paths to cross. Your warm smile and gentle eyes drew me in, and I knew then that my life had found its missing piece. In your presence, I found comfort, love, and a sense of belonging that transcended mere words.

You were a beacon of light, Solar, radiating kindness, compassion, and generosity to everyone around you. Your selflessness knew no bounds, and you always put the needs of others before your own. Your boundless love and unwavering support were the pillars that held me up through life’s trials, and without you, the world seems colder, emptier.

Our journey together was filled with unforgettable moments, laughter, and tears. We celebrated triumphs and held each other close during challenges. You were not just my husband, but my best friend, my confidant, and my biggest cheerleader. Your love made me feel invincible, like we could conquer anything and everything life threw our way, hand in hand.

As I look back on the memories we created, the places we visited, and the dreams we shared, I am overcome with gratitude to God for bringing you into my life.

Your absence has left an indelible mark on my heart, and the pain of losing you is still as raw as it was on that fateful day. Yet, amidst the sorrow, I take solace in the knowledge that you are in a better place, and our love will live on eternally in my heart.

Your lovely children miss you everyday, every second and every moment; and we believe, that your kind and loving spirit will keep watching over us, as the loving husband, father figure and guardian angel that you are.

Though you may no longer be physically here, your legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved you, and your memory remains a source of strength and inspiration. I have not stopped praying for you, that your kind and gentle soul, will continue to rest peacefully in the bossom of the Lord.

Again, I use this opportunity, to express a most profound appreciation, to all of you good people, family, friends, bosses, colleagues, associates etc, that rallied round us at those difficult times. May you enjoy the presence of God forever.

My dear Solar! Olowo Ori mi, Uhmmmmm..Until we meet again, continue to rest in the bossom of the Lord, till eternity.
