Revenue: Radda meets 7 revenue consulting firms, sets to hire the best among them

The Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Wednesday, 5th July 2023, received in audience seven tax collection firms to assist the Katsina State Board of Internal Revenue Service (KTIRS) in strengthening tax collection in the state.

Stressing the state government’s determination towards growing its IGR to create an economic system that is not heavily dependent on the Federal allocation, Governor Radda disclosed that his administration intends to hire the best tax firm that will digitalize and enhance revenue that can, at least, settle the salaries of workers in the state without being dependent on the federal allocation.

According to him, “We have seen the benefits of institutionalizing and carrying out major reforms in IGR, but we are convinced that we can do better and improve on their efficiency.” He, thereafter, thanked the consultants for bringing their wealth of experience and intellect towards reforming the Katsina State Internal Revenue Service.

Rentech Solutions, during their presentation, disclosed that they intended to provide accessible and convenient solutions that would drive various collections categories. Furthermore, they sought to formalize engagements with Katsina State Internal Revenue Service to solve the various collection pain points as identified in the state and also proposed an integrated collection solution that could equip the revenue service to quickly and reliably collect revenue, while closing loopholes and solving pain points. Other tax consultants present were Interliwork Technologies, Primegauge Solutions, Astond Consult, Touch & Pay Tech, and Rahza Tech.
