OUR POLICIES AIMED AT RESETTING ABIA – GOV OTTI

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, says his administration’s policies are foundational and aimed at resetting the state.

The Governor stated this on Sunday, while speaking at a special thanksgiving reception of the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and member representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Augustine Meregini, held at the Ibeama Community School, Ndume-Ibeku, Umuahia North LGA.

Dr. Otti said it is a more difficult task to rebuild but that his administration is prepared to do the needful to develop Abia State. He restated that Umuahia looks like a glorified village but would soon be rebuilt to a capital city status it deserves.

The Governor disclosed that a lot of government properties are in the hands of individuals and must be retrieved and handed over to the real owners, Abia people, a tacit reference to the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Government Properties and Funds belonging to Abia State, which he recently inaugurated.

He said his life had always been guided by relentless desire to serve the public and appreciated his constituents, assuring that he would not disappoint them, but would support the Governor’s drive in rebuilding Abia State.
