DAPO ABIODUN IS OUR GOVERNOR
Our attention has been drawn to the rumours going around that leaders of APC and their followers associated with Otunba Gbenga Daniel are not working for the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State.
Rising from a strategic consultative meeting held today, Thursday 16th March, 2023, where we deliberated on the current state of affairs in our party the APC, we the undersigned, LEADERS of the OGD Political Bloc which decamped from the PDP to APC in 2019 across the length and breath of Ogun state and are now stalwarts of the APC administration in Ogun State led by Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, MFR wishes to state as follows
1. That Ogun State has experienced tremendous growth and development in all sectors of governance under the dynamic leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun. Hence, concerted efforts must be made to consolidate the state’s developmental gains and not detract it from the trajectory of good governance.
2. That we therefore salute the uncommon courage of the Governor to revamp the state of infrastructure in our State by completing several abandoned capital projects and undertaking new constructions for the benefit of all and sundry.
3. That we are impressed and satisfied with the scorecard of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led Administration and condemn any plot by reactionary elements to discredit him in the media under the pretext of nebulous alliances.
4. That our indefatigable Governor having performed creditably well in almost four years of his administration deserves to be re-elected as Governor of Ogun State for another 4 years.
5. That we urge the people of Ogun State to support and vote Governor Dapo Abiodun for second term to enable him to consolidate on all the laudable programmes and projects initiated by his administration.
6. That our irrivocable commitment is for the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun and we therefore totally dissociate ourselves from any purported alliance with any opposition candidate to scuttle the second term bid of Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun, MFR.
7. That any release or article being circulated in the media purporting that we the undersigned and our followers as members of OGD political bloc which decamped from the PDP to the APC in 2019 have collectively taken a decision not to support the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR is totally false and without basis as no such decision was ever taken.
8. That we shall remain ever grateful and committed to reciprocating the kind gesture of the Governor who gave us the veritable platform to contribute our quota to further the development of Ogun State.
9. That we urge the good people of Ogun State and the generality of Nigerians to rally round the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the task of entrenching democratic dividends by electing all candidates of the party in the March 18th election.
