2023: Victory High Sch. Old Boys Rally Support for Pst. Umo Eno

In a demonstration of solidarity and love for one of their own, the old students of Victory High School, Ikeja 1981 set, have presented campaign materials to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno.

The old students who were in Uyo to celebrate with their Senior Prefect over his victory at the court, and to rally support and bring good tidings, described Pastor Eno as an unassuming leader whose strong character and penchant for hardwork has distinguished him in his different endeavours.

In a brief ceremony held at the Signature by Royalty Hotel, the President of the set, Otumba Gbenga Ojunogbe said they were amazed by the spurious and ridiculous allegations against their Senior Prefect, stressing that they were confident it will end in praise.

Describing the allegation that Pastor Umo Eno did not attemd their school as a joke taken too far, Otunba Ojunogbe who was accompanied by the patron of the set, Dr. Uche Ezeagwu maintained that the school has produced prominent personalities across the country including late former President, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, professors, states Commissioners, and many others noting that Pastor Eno will add to the enviable record of the school.

He noted that the campaign materials so presented were a token of support and commitment to this worthy cause of their classmate, stressing that they will deploy their contacts especially within Akwa Ibom State to rally support for him and ensure victory at the polls.

The President lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for the quality infrastructure in the state which according to him, gives the state a distinct atmosphere in the comity of states.

He remarked that the PDP governorship candidate is a thorough bred administrator with investments, development and entrepreneural intelligence, adding that Pastor Eno is well equipped to further on the development strides of the incumbent.

Responding, Pastor Eno appreciated the delegation for their expression of love and assured that he will remain a good ambassador of their alma mater by providing good governance when elected into office in 2023.

Pastor Eno who spoke with an air of nostalgia, said he was not perturbed by the pockets of distractions and naysayers, but was focused on his social contract with Akwa Ibom people.

He affirmed that he has conducted a needs assessment of all parts of the state and will further the development trajectory of the state.

While acknowledging that election is a game of numbers, and that every vote will count in 2023, he urged the Victorians to deploy their contacts to help mobilize more votes for him in the state.
