*I have lost a dearest royal father – Shina Peller mourns Aseyin*

A member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency of Oyo State, Honourable Shina Peller, has described the passing of the Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Abdulganiyu Adekunle Salaudeen Oloogunebi Ajinese I, as a great loss to Iseyin, Oke Ogun region and the entire Yorubaland.

Honourable Peller disclosed this in a tribute he personally signed and shared on his verified social media handles, where he described the late Aseyin as a loving and dearest royal father whose immense contributions to the promotion of the Yoruba cultural heritage remains noteworthy.

Recalling the kind of relationship he has shared with the late Oba Salaudeen, Honourable Peller explained that it was a father-son relationship which he described as a valuable and memorable one.

“It was with a very heavy heart that I received the news of the exit of my loving and dearest royal father, The Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Abdul Ganiyy Adekunle Salaudeen Oloogunebi Ajinese I, who joined his ancestors yesterday.

“Aside from being my royal father, Oba Salaudeen was like a father to me. I valued and enjoined our father-son relationship as well as his unwavering support, concern and genuine love for me; I will miss him so much.

“Also, my heart is heavy because we have lost a very prominent Oke Ogun monarch and a revered Yoruba traditional ruler who will be greatly missed not only by the people of Iseyin but the whole of Oke Ogun region, Oyo State and entire Yorubaland. Without doubt, he is a great loss to the Yoruba race!

“The late Oba was a compassionate royal father whose immense contributions to the promotion of the Yoruba cultural heritage remains noteworthy. Also, he was so passionate and committed to ensuring the welfare, growth and development of his subjects, Iseyinland and Oke Ogun as a whole.

“My heartfelt condolences to all us in Iseyin particularly the indigenes both home and away, royal family and traditional chiefs, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs and to the entire people of Yorubaland. I pray that God consoles us all. May the soul of my departed royal father, Oba Salaudeen, find peace with God. Amen.”
