40 days after Gov. Gandujue leads dignitaries to Ajimobi’s 40 days prayers

Family members, friends and associates of former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Thursday gathered in Ibadan for the 40 day Islamic prayer (Fidau) of the immediate past Governor.

DAILY POST gathered that Ajimobi who ruled Oyo State as Governor for eight years died in June 2020.

Among the family members who gathered at the Oluyole residence of the former Governor for the prayer are his wife, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, Idris Ajimobi, Ajimobi’s immediate and extended family members.

Among the dignitaries are Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.

Others are political associates among who are Senators Teslim Folarin, Abdulfatai Buhari, Former SSG, Alhaji Olalekan Alli, Former Heads of Service, Soji Eniade Mni, Mrs Hannah Ogunesan and Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi.

Also in attendance were All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate in the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, Hon. Moses Alake Adeyemo among others.

An Islamic cleric, Sheik Muhideen Ajani Bello led other Islamic clerics to pray for the deceased.

Bello, who addressed the gathering told Ajimobi’s supporters not to destroy his legacies.
