My heart goes out to the entire family of late Pa Ayo Fasanmi; the Yoruba nation, Governors of the states of the South West; leaders and members of Afenifere for the sad loss of another Icon of the Yoruba unity and identity.
This is indeed a great loss which is happening at a most in’s auspicious time when Nigeria is in search of an identity and the Yoruba nation is expected to play a very decisive role.
The death of Pa Fasanmi is a personal loss to me because with him I shared a common bond in the struggle for the cultural renaissance of the Yorubas in an emerging nation like Nigeria.
I am deeply pained.
Adieu Pa Fasanmi! May God grant your repose eternal rest.
