Former IGP Abba’s appointment: DOBA 1978 Class commends Buhari

The Dambatta Old Boys’ Association (DOBA) Class of 1978, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing retired IGP Barrister Sulaiman Abba, a member of the class, as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the DOBA Class of 1978, Salisu Na’inna Dambatta, and Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Bulangu, the association expressed appreciation to the President, and said that the appointment was based on merit in view of the excellent track record of service of the retired Inspector General of Police.

“The President has made the right choice for a Chairman of a Trust Fund the resources of which can make tremendous impact in the transformation of the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement said.

The DOBA Class of 1978 expressed confidence that as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Police Trust Fund, Barrister Suleiman Abba would bring his sincerity of purpose, passion for national service and commitment to the Nigeria Police Force to bear on his leadership of the Fund, which would be used to enhance the primary roles of the Police Force of preventing and detecting crimes, boosting public safety and securing the nation.

The entire members of DOBA Class of 1978 congratulated Barrister Sulaiman Abba and all those appointed to the Board, and wished them a successful tenure.
