My attention has been drown to a Facebook post in which I was quoted to have made a derogatory remark on our late Comrade, Mallam Abba Kyari, the ersthwile chief of staff to the president. In such publication I was also quoted to have mentioned the names of certain personalities as been happy over the death of the late chief of staff. This post is the pigment of the imagination of the writer.
It is on record that I have never mentioned the name of the late Mallam Abba Kyari in any of my public discourse throughout his tenure as chief of staff to the President. Those who know me will attest to the fact that I never mention names of people when making public comments except those who join issues with me personally. Moreso, it is abominable in my culture and religion to speak ill of the dead.
The post therefore is FAKE NEWS in it entirety and only the mindset of cowards who want to express their hatred for the late Comrade by hiding behind my outwardness. I therefore want the public to disregard it.
I wish to use this opportunity to pray Allah to forgive Mallam Abba Kyari’s short comings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and also give the family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
