Team Jandor, a Lagos base Sociopolitical group, on Friday took its sensitization program on the corona virus pandemic to Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area of the state.
During its sensitisation visit to the streets, Churches, Mosques and markets, members of the team distributed face masks, hand gloves, as well sanitized individuals and groups as team Jandor heightens actions against the pandemic out break in Nigeria with Lagos State recording the highest numbers of cases.
The Nigerian government, late Friday, recorded 11 new cases of the Covid-19 pandemic, bringing the total number to 81 in the country. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) posted on its official Twitter handle that: “11 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nigeria: 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State. “As at 11:55pm 27th March, there are 81 confirmed cases of Corona Virus reported in Nigeria. 3 have been discharged with 1 death.”
The leader of the PIM group of Team Jandor, Mr. Ayo Austin confirmed that the sensitization efforts will be continuous.
The team has been successful in sensitizing and educating the communities, “we also distributed washing tap buckets, Hand gloves, Surgical masks, hands washes and salvets.”
