Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant grand finale

A Biology undergraduate of Adeyemi College of Education, Oluwatobi Joy Fadayomi, has emerged winner of the 2019 Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant, which held on Sunday, 8th of December 2019, at the prestigious Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo City, Ondo.

The 21-year-old emerged victorious after contesting with 16 other ladies for the crown.

Miss Ruth Oluwabusolami Sanni and Miss Dolapo Rosemary Tijani emerged the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively. While Miss Joy Oluwadamilola Oluwatoba who emerged 4th position became the Face of AOGO Bank, Miss Temidayo Olaposi and Miss Abisola Abimbola bagged the Face of Tasty Cubes Nigeria and Face of Kiladejo Royal Family awardsrespectively.

The Producer of the event, Mr. Dayo Phillip Akindutire (CEO, Kismet Kiddies Entertainment) noted that the aim of Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant was to encourage the appreciation of African socio-cultural heritage and empower young women.

“Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant believes in raising ambassadors that will exemplify the good virtues and care for societal advancement which the African woman is known for. It is all about preserving our heritage, teaching young girls how to care and fight for societal cause and teaching them how to preach to people; taking their advocacy campaigns to positively affect their immediate environment,” he said.

In his remark, the Co-producer of the project who doubles as its Coordinator, Mr. Olubode Mac Oserinde of Fanafillit Integrated Concepts stated that Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant is determined to carve a niche as one of the most sought after beauty pageants in Africa.

“With this edition, we have succeeded in setting a standard for Pageantry which not only focus on beauty, but the ability of every young female to believe in their dreams and pursue it through dint of hardwork, focus and determination. This is evident in the camp experience during the contest, up to the grand finale”, he added.

The grand finale which ended on a high note was anchored by renowned Ondo-based Comedian, Arkbishop with Lagos-based popular producer of Comedy+ & Sometimes in April show Femi Edward “Eddie Baba”.

Notable personalities at the event includes Chief Isaac Folorunso Akintade who was ably represented as Chairman of the occasion by Chief Loghofela Olarotimi Ayoola, Director Planet Security Guards, and Lisajoka of Ondo Kingdom; Chief Wole Benson, Mr. Sola Oyeneyin (MD, AOGO Microfinance Bank), Mr. Tolu Akinbohun of Events Squad, Engr. Raymond Akinyele, Prince Michael Kiladejo, Prince Kilade Jnr., Queen Ella (Miss Institutions Nigeria 2019). Other guests include MD, House of Diamanté (sponsor of the Queens’ crowns), MD, Make-up by Adede, Mr. Bankole Walter, Mr. Bolaji Omotayo (CEO, Gleetz Magazine) and MD of Mobile Gele who constitutes Panel of Judges at the Grand finale.

The project Miss Ekimogun Beauty Pageant which has produced notable achievers in the showbiz industry including Bolajo Fawehinmi of Few Models Africa is the brainchild of 02 Entertainment founded by Mr. Idris Mamukuyomi.
