The vice president, who visited the bereaved family on Sunday, November 24, expressed his regrets over the late captains demise on behalf of the presidency and the federal government.

The meeting attended mostly by governors and the deputy governors of some states, started around 12 noon at the council chambers of the State House.
The FEC meeting which was held as usual in the Presidential Villa in Abuja, is the second one that Osinbajo is presiding over since President Muhammadu Buhari travelled out of the country.
This was the second FEC meeting Osinbajo presided over after president Muhammadu Buhari left the country. There had been insinuations that Osinbajo has been irrelevant in the presidency.
