The Making of a San God factor by Ebun Adegboruwa San

The stories you have read about the painful experiences of my past were all orchestrated by God to glorify His Holy name and to perfect His divine will for my life.

  1. I was born into a Christian family from a generation of church leaders and founders, but I was more of a nominal Christian and an ardent church goer.
  2. Though I became truly born again in 1988 at the Pentecostal Assembly of Reverend Shola Olukolade in Yaba, my sojourn into students unionism in Ife took all that from me, as I became immersed in the doctrines of Marx and Engels.
  3. When a colleague approached me in Gani Fawehinmi Chambers to share with him my source of power through which I’d found favour with Gani, I reasoned that I was going into a very delicate profession, that requires ultimate fortification. I decided to partner with God.
  4. I walked into the headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ebute-Metta in year 2000 and listened to Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who spoke on the topic: “Be Ye Separate”.
  5. Confused and without any direction for my life, Mr Bamidele Aturu (God bless his precious soul) invited me to the Holy Ghost Service in Redemption Camp in July 2000 and asked me to be attentive to every word that comes with “the Lord said”. Suddenly in the course of his ministration, Pastor Adeboye spoke to me directly thus:
“The Lord said there’s a young man here. You’re confused about your direction for life and future, but the Lord said I should tell you that I will establish you.”

Aturu looked at me in great excitement that night. The rest, as they say, is history now.

  1. I eventually got baptized in RCCG, went through Workers in Training, joined the work force and was ordained first as a Deacon, later on as an Assistant Pastor and Pastor.
  2. On June 3, 2002, my chambers and library were razed down by fire completely. I met Pastor Adeboye later in the evening of that day and he told me that one door had just closed for God to open a greater one and the more I dwelt on the calamity, the more I would delay what God wants to do in me.
  3. In January 2017, I had cause to meet with Pastor Adeboye again in his house in RCCG camp, in what many had thought would lead to my exit from the mission, based on a piece that I authored concerning the church. After he listened to my detailed explanation, Pastor Adeboye rose from his seat and placed his two hands upon my head and began to prophesy earnestly from his heart, the major one being that I would experience accelerated promotion that year.
  4. I’d applied for elevation into the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2013 but was disqualified at the first round. I decided to take my time to prepare myself adequately.
  5. Suddenly in 2017, things began to fall in place. My cases were being concluded in various courts at record time. Ways began to open. It was during the period of the closure of Abuja airport for upgrade so I had to go through Kaduna all the time to get to Abuja. In one particular case, my matter moved from the Lagos High Court, to the Court of Appeal and to the Supreme Court in just one year! There was never a time I appeared in court and my matters didn’t go on.
  6. I commenced the process of my SAN application in 2017 and by January 2018, I had submitted my final application, with all conditions met in record time. I paid taxes, I processed pension for my staff, I renovated my office, I traveled to many parts of Nigeria, assembling my cases, securing recommendations from judges, lawyers and clients.
  7. I obtained favour from God, men and women all through. My wife and I declared fasting for most of the time throughout the period and she would be up every night, crying to God.
  8. Contrary to the unfounded speculations, I didn’t have to pay anybody, as the process was very transparent and simple to follow, once you qualify.
  9. There were some petitions against my elevation but God dealt with them all and they were all decided in my favour, in court, with the NBA and even before the LPPC. God moved on my behalf.
  10. After the first filtration and publication, I met Pastor Adeboye in His office and he said we should minimize recourse to people but continue to pray and allow God take the ultimate glory for Himself.
  11. The eventual selection was God raising people for my help all through. Ondo State started enjoying two candidates from the time of Chief Olusola Oke, SAN and Kehinde Ogunwumiju, SAN. In 2018, it was Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN and Adekola Olawoye, SAN. That was the expectation for 2019, but God moved on my behalf and changed the narrative and we had Chief Olajide Ajana, SAN, Olumide Aju, SAN and Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, SAN.
  12. When God is involved in your matter, He works His way through even the highest mountains.

In Psalms 102:13, the Bible states that:

“Thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion (Adegboruwa); for the time to favour her (Adegboruwa), yea, the set time, is come.”

And in Mark 9:23:

“Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him (Adegboruwa) that believeth.”

If your eyes of vision can see anything, your hands of destiny can have it.
