It was a pleasant sight to behold as over 2500 Constituent members converged at Jalisco stadium on Sunday 18th August,2019 for the thanksgiving event of Hon. Dr. Bashir Dawodu. (Honourable member representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1). The large field was filled to the brim as well wishers and party faithfuls from across all the 7 wards made themselves available adorning their Ankara attire in different styles and shapes.
The colourful event that brought people from all works of life was a huge success as people present were highly organized and exhibited the highest level of decorum to be expected from civilised people. The sitting arrangements were according to Wards as well as the food and drink stands.
When it was time for the man of the moment to talk, there was a loud shout as party faithfuls were showering him with encomium and singing his praise. Hon. Dr. Dawodu was highly surprised and humbled at the large turnout of people. He appreciated all the party leaders and members, both the ones that were present and those that were not. He further reinstated his commitment to the people, he promised them of a better Oshodi-Isolo that will reflect the wishes of the people and a place we will all be proud to be called a home.
He promised to go all out in term of making the lives of the people better and attracting Federal Government projects to the constituency in order to make life easier and meaningful for the people.
Pa Olabintan, one of the party leaders eulogized Hon. Dr. Dawodu for not forgetting his root. He promised the people of good and dynamic representation at the Hallowed Chamber. He equally implored the people to continue to be loyal to our great party and see themselves as one.
One of the dignitaries at event, MC Oluomo, also reminded the people of the need to stand as one and be faithful towards the development of Oshodi-lsolo and the party. He advised them to disassociate themselves from the people that are fanning the embers of enemity and discord. He encouraged them to promote peace and love.
The members present bear out their minds, they were full of praises and prayers for their son that they have willfully given their mandates. They pray to God to continue lead him aright.
Elders present included Pa Joseph Olabintan, Elder Olorunoje, Elder Ogunshakin, Elder Femi Akenju, Chief Abayomi Ogunoloko, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc Oluomo, Elder M.A. Salako, Elder Wale Ariyibi, Elder Israel Akinyode, Elder Fatoki, Mrs Shobayo, Mrs Badejoko, Mrs M.O. Alade, to mention but a few.
It was indeed a Thanksgiving event like never before!!!
