Channels TV has confirmed a death of it’s reporter. Precious Owolabi, who was caught in across fire between police and Shiite Muslim protesting the continuing detention of their leader El-Zazakky in Abuja.
Channels it’s flagship news bulletin, NEWS at 10, said Owolabi was hit by a straight bullet as a member of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, IMN also known as Shiite clashed with officer of Police in Nigeria on Monday.
The protest by the Shiite turns violent in the Federal capital, including the precinct of the Federal Secretariat as the two engage in gunfire.
Police, who condoned off the road leading to the National Assembly and the three arms zones disrupted the protest by the Shiite, firing teargas in the disperse, the station further reported.
The station express it profound condolences to the family of the slain reporter.
Precious Owolabi was service his one year mandatory national youth service with channels TV. He was 23 years old.
