The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee has released a total number of 64 legal practitioners and 16 Academics who it is considering for admission into the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN for 2019.
In a statement made available to TheNigerialawyer, the Secretary of the LPPC, Hadizatu Mustapha Esq, who also doubles as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, stated that that the 64 Candidates are practicing lawyers and 16 Academics are the successful candidates who emerged after two advocates’ filtration, academic pre-qualification exercise, and the appeal process.
The Committee is requesting that the General Public is at liberty to comment on the integrity and reputation of any of the above candidates.
Any complaint(s) presented to the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee shall be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a Court of Record in Nigeria.
Ten (10) copies of such comments or complaints must be submitted at the Office of the Secretary, Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee at the Supreme Court of Nigeria Complex, Abuja not later than 4.00pm on Monday 17th June 2019.
