It has come to the attention of the Ogun State Government that the transition committee set up by the Governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has been denied access to some state-owned facilities for inspection by the outgoing administration.
We say this is another false, malicious, unfounded, distasteful and unsavoury allegation from the incoming administration.
In an effort to invest some of their bogus claims with invented credibility, the transition committee of the incoming government is quick at divulging confidential correspondence to media organizations solely for the purpose of campaign of disinformation and blackmail against the outgoing government.
In a genuine reply to request for the inspection and availability of key government facilities by the incoming Deputy Governor-elect, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Secretary to Ogun State Government (SSG), Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa, itemised some of the challenges faced by the outgoing government on some of the government facilities.
The SSG listed major government programs that would be going on at some of the facilities at the period under request.
He was however categorical that other named facilities would be handed over to the transition committee on Wednesday May 15, 2019.
The government scribe also emphasized that “Please, be assured that should you desire to conduct INSPECTION only, as opposed to immediate possession, we will be happy to oblige your Team”.
The allegation that the outgoing government is denying the transition committee of the incoming government access to some State owned facilities for inspection, is nothing, but another in a series of political propaganda to tarnish the image of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
This and other false allegations should be disregarded and ignored in their entirety as they are only meant to score cheap political points.
