A major tempest is currently shaking up the top management level staff and directors at Cadbury Nigeria; Naijahottestgist.com has gathered.

Cadbury Nigeria Plc in March, had announced the appointment of Mrs. Oyeyimika Adeboye as Managing Director of the company effective April 1, 2019. Mrs. Adeboye, is the first woman to be appointed Managing Director since the establishment of Cadbury Nigeria over five decades ago; and she succeeded Amir Shamsi, who moves on to a new role within Mondelēz International, the parent company of Cadbury Nigeria.

Naijahottestgist.com had gathered, that so far, following her assumption of office, not less than 10 directors of the company have been relieved of their positions.

This has not been unconnected from Adeboye’s quest to curb complacency, and to inject fresh minds into the system, in order to improve administrative productivity of the company.

In the light of this development, more directors have continued to scamper for cover to save their own heads from rolling, as we have gathered that most of these directors have run to a renowned RCCG pastor in town, who happened to be the MD’s spiritual father, so he could help them prevail over her to evade a sack over them.

Trained as a chartered accountant, the new Cadbury Nigeria MD joined the board of the company in November 2008, as finance and strategy director, West Africa.

Before then, she was the director of finance and chief financial officer of Nigerian Bottling Company Plc.
