Easter: Mrs Akeredolu assures Ondo people of more dividends of democracy

As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, which is the commemoration of the resurrection of Christ and his victory over death, wife of Ondo State Governor, Her Excellency Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, joined the congregation of Chapel of Grace, Government House, Alagbaka Akure in a Holy Eucharistic service to mark the festival.

Speaking during the service, Mrs Akeredolu expressed her joy over Christ’s victory over death, with repeated thunderous Alleluia chorus and the popular Christians’ confession, “Christ is Risen”.

The sunshine state First Lady used the opportunity to reassure the good people of Ondo state of the relentless commitment of the Akeredolu-led administration in the state to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.

In her words, “It gladdens my heart that the people are seeing what is happening in Ondo state. You know change takes a long time to happen. When we talk about graduate unemployment, for you to create employment opportunities, you need to have strategies, you need to plan, and these things don’t just happen overnight, but I’m very excited that just in about two years, things are really happening.

I plead with you to exercise patience with Arakunrin, more will come. This is not Social Media, Print or electronic media advertisement. It is real! Go to Ore and see what is happening.”

Earlier in her remarks, the regent of Aaye community, HRH Taiwo Oyebola Agbona, who led the chiefs and the people of Aaye community in Ifedore LGA to a special thanksgiving, appreciated the Governor of Ondo State for his giant strides in the state, particularly in the area of industrialization and road infrastructure, and appealed to him to give attention to the roads in Aaye community.
