Ganduje’s Supporters Protest Over Police ‘Bias’

Pro-supporters of the Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, have staged a protest condemning the state Police Command for allegedly being biased during the March 9 governorship election in the state.

The protesters displayed placards showing support for Ganduje of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as they accused the police of siding the People Democratic Party (PDP).

The spot on which the protesters staged the protest was unknown but they were sighted marching to the Emir’s Palace from where they moved to the government house.

The protesters urged the police to maintain neutrality in the March 23 supplementary election in some select wards across 22 local government areas of the state.

Governor Ganduje, while addressing the youths at the Government House, promised to sustained peaceful coexistence in the state and ensure that peace reigns before, during and after the rerun election.
