Religious Leaders hold special prayer Session for Akinlade’s Victory

The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in Ogun State, Hon Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade was at the special prayer session organised by the Ogun state League of Imams and Alfas held at the Abeokuta Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeokuta.

Hundreds of Islamic clerics present at the session prayed for his success in the March 9th election, while admonishing him to govern the state with the fear of God when elected.

Hon Adekunle was also in attendance at The African Church Solution Ground, Abeokuta, under the leadership of Bishop Jeremiah Okunola.

The congregation prayed for his victory in the coming election.

Akinlade addressed the congregation, reiterating that his aspiration to become the next governor of Ogun State was led by his love and passion for the state, while promising to do his best to bring unprecedented development to Ogun state.

Meanwhile, the Hausa/Fulani community in Ogun state has endorsed the candidature of Hon Adekunle Akinlade.

The Hausas and Fulanis converged on Iwe Iroyin in Abeokuta to declare their supports for Akinlade, chanting “Mai rogo muke so.”

The meeting was attended by the National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantalle, who spoke with his fellow Northerners to vote for massively for the APM on Saturday.

Akinlade appreciated their gesture, assuring that they would not regret voting him in.

Also today, Hon Akinlade met with traders, transporters, artisans, entrepreneurs, CDAs and other stakeholders in Ogun state at the June 12 Cultural centre in Abeokuta.

They came from the 3 Senatorial Districts in their thousands to declare their unflinching support for Akinlade as we approach the governorship election.

“I will govern with honour. I will govern with truthfulness and I will govern with the fear of God.” Akinlade assured them.
