The Association of Chief Press Secretaries (CPS) in the 57 Local Government Area and Local Council Development Area in Lagos State have declared their intention to mobilize electorates in the grassroots, more than they did at the Presidential and National Assembly ahead March 9, 2019, Gubernatorial and House of Assembly general elections.
CPS Oseni Owolabi Ajimomuya who is the Chairman of Conference 57 CPS, while speaking on behalf of the group said they are ready to work with APC party chieftains and mobilize the masses to vote APC.
“We have over 250 community and News platforms that comprises of more than 500,000 audience in Lagos State that can be translated into massive vote and support for APC,” he said.
He urged party leaders to give the CPS group additional opportunities to embark on sensitization and wider publicity for the party.
It should be recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a stakeholder meeting on Thursday, February 28, 2019, where party chieftains were lambasted for the less than impressive showing at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly general elections.
The outcome of the meeting has since generated concern for adequate mobilization of the electorates in the grassroots for APC.
The CPS group that was represented by the Chairman CPS Oseni Owolabi Ajimomuya and PRO CPS Fakunle Sheriff Ekundayo reinstated their confidence in the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by insisting that the philosophy of APC must be entrenched at every level of the grassroots.
The media aides to Council Chairmen in Lagos State have commenced mobilization and sensitization for the One million March of the party’s flag bearer, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, holding tomorrow, Saturday March 2, 2019.
