The National Secretary of Forward With Buhari, Dr. Kayode Ajulo has called on the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alh. Atiku Abubakar to congratulate President Buhari as reports gives comfortable lead to Buhari.
In a press release signed by him on Sunday in Abuja, the text reads;”Though not official yet, feedback from results collated in Polling Units, Wards, Local Government Collation Centers across the country by our dedicated, trained and equipped volunteers as well as strategic local and international partners shows overwhelming winning for President Muhammadu Buhari.
“For this reason and in defense of Nigerian growing democracy, it is only normal for the main contender and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ahlaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, to concede defeat and immediately call to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Like other political parties and groups, Forward With Buhari, operates impeccable situation room with objective collation of figures as they emanate from the poling units and collation centres. As evidenced by the quality of these reports, it is clear that President Buhari has already won the required two-thirds majority of the votes cast in virtually all the federating states.
“In the light of this, a special appreciation to Nigerians especially the downtrodden from all divides who have freely given the majority of votes to President Buhari so that he can continue to elevate Nigerian nation on all sides. The all important salutation must, per force, be also extended to all security agencies who patriotically worked to ensure that Nigeria got the best of the electoral outing.
“Some Nigerians suffered untoward loss and paid some prices in defense of Democracy, and we are so concerned that we send heartfelt sympathies and prayers; it is our sincere believe that the successes that President Buhari shall make of this reelection will give solace for the losses suffered.
“This victory recorded is hereby dedicated to the masses of the country that came out to vote for continuation of PMB in office based on self conviction that he has performed well and will need additional four years to consolidate for benefit of Nigerians.
“We must, however, congratulate other contenders for the exalted office of the president with President Buhari for putting up a good show and by so doing, deepening Democracy in Nigeria.
“We look forward to seeing them especially Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to join hands with President Buhari in the task of nation building in order to jointly take Nigeria to greater heights, the statement concluded.
