…Vows to appeal
The PDP gubernatorial candidate in the July 14, 2018 Governorship election in Ekiti State, Prof Kolapo Olusola Eleka, has rejected the judgment of the election petition tribunal delivered Monday in Abuja.
Speaking to the press in his home town of Ikere Ekiti through his media aide, Mr Onaopemipo Akinloye after the tribunal judgment, Olusola, who is the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State, noted that current political trends and tides in the country had made it possible for anyone to predict the outcome of an election petition tribunal of this nature.
According to him, “we are not surprised at the judgement delivered, especially when you consider the current situation in Nigeria. Nevertheless, the truth shall ultimately prevail”.
Olusola further posited that the people of Ekiti must be very sad about the tribunal judgment given their first-hand knowledge of the irregularities that marred the Ekiti 2018 Governorship election.
He, however, thanked the people, most especially his party and supporters, for their unwavering belief in the  struggle, imploring them to keep hope alive.
“The judiciary remains the last hope of the common man in the Nigeria of our vision. On this belief we stand. Rather than be discouraged, we assure our teeming supporters that we shall pursue this case to its logical conclusion”, he added.
