The House of Assembly Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Irepodun/Ifelodun constituency -2 in Ekiti state, Hakeem Jamiu has described the victory of the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi at the election petition tribunal as an exceptional victory for democracy.
Jamiu in a press statement issued by the media unit of his campaign Organization in Ado Ekiti also described the ruling of the tribunal affirming the Fayemi’s Election as a vindication of not only the Governor’s victory and the All Progressives Congress but also freedom to all lovers of true democracy.
The APC flagbearer in the March second state Assembly election described the victory as a measure of the popularity and acceptability of Dr. Fayemi by the residents of the state.
He said the victory at the Tribunal is very symbolic as It shows clearly that Ekiti people had on July the 14th 2018 rejected the PDP and opted for the APC because of its candidate, Dr.Kayode Fayemi who is very popular among the people of the State for his giant strides between 2010 and 2014. ,” he said.
“It also shows significantly that the people of Ekiti State are at home with the APC and the mass oriented policies associated with our great party when Fayemi was in the helm of affairs in the state”.
The Assembly hopeful lauded the three man tribunal led by Justice Suleiman Belgore for standing by the truth which he said prevailed over deceit.
The tribunal’s verdict has exposed Olusola Eleka’s deceit and frivolous claim that the Election was manipulated in favour of the APC Candidate Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
He further stressed that the outcome of the July 14th Governorship election has clearly shown that Ekiti people are on ground for APC which he said would be replicated in the next Presidential, National and state Assembly elections.
