In the name of Almighty Allah the most gracious, benevolent and most merciful, I welcome you all to this momentous and historical event
“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to reform or pause and reflect” says mark twain. This belief and conviction that I am on the side of you masses has birthed a new movement which seeks to right the wrongs of a few who resorted to clandestine ways of denying you all the mandate freely given on the 7th of October, 2018, during the APC Party primary elections.
It is no longer news that we have since moved towards victory with ALLIED PEOPLES’ MOVEMENT after the popular mandate given to me by the good people of Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode and Odeda Federal Constituency was stolen and given to the son of one of those who perpetuated the most heinous electoral heist of all time.
Of course, I had an option of approaching the courts but the overwhelming support and outpour of solidarity by my people immediately after the fraud shows that I can actually seek and get justice through the ballot, during general elections, regardless of the party we flag as our records speak volume of our acceptance and popularity. Today, I thank God that I am now a member of a truly Democratic Party and Progressive Movement to actualize your mandate.
It is on record that, during our first term in office, we delivered on a number of promises to my constituents to the extent that today I am nicknamed Mr. Empowerment. Insha Allah, when I am re-elected as your honorable member of House of Representatives, you will enjoy GRAND DIVIDENDS of democracy in addition to sponsorship of robust bills and motions. As we approach the general elections in February and March this year, 2019 and as part of the events that precede the elections, I will like to use this golden opportunity to inform you all that we shall commence our electioneering campaigns which will take us to all wards and Local Government Areas within my Federal Constituency. We shall be visiting various Traditional Institutions, Artisans, Youth Bodies, Ngos, Market places and all Stakeholders within our constituency.
I therefore call on everyone here, including the leaders of our great progressive party, ALLIED PEOPLES’ MOVEMENT, APM, to support me as I officially flag off my electioneering campaign, which will, Insha Allah return me elected once again to the Federal House of Representatives. I pray to almighty Allah to crown our effort with victory which is the slogan of our party.
