The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/ Iwajowa federal constituency, Shina Abiola Peller on Monday, 19th November, 2018 attended the swearing-in ceremony for the 2018 Batch C (Stream II) Corps Members deployed to Oyo and Ogun State.
The event was held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, had in attendance top government officials including the Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Barrister Yomi Oke who officially represented Governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
Shina Peller seized the opportunity to inspect the ongoing NYSC hostel he is building for the corps members to make the camp more conducive for them.
Also, he assured NYSC management and Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports that the hostel will be completed by end of December, 2018.
While granting interview to the press, Shina Peller urged the corps members to be agents of positive change that Nigeria needs, adding that they have great lessons to learn as serving corps members, which will aid their journey later in life.
He said, “I want them to know that there are lessons for them to learn, which will later aid their journey in life. I learnt some lessons as a corps member serving in Abia State in 2003, and that had impacted greatly on who I am today.”
He also urged them to avoid criminal acts including election malpractices as the 2019 general election approaches.
