The execution of Hauwa Liman, a young, courageous aid worker in Nigeria, by the Boko Haram sect, is totally unacceptable.
All over the world, those who volunteer themselves to help save others are treated as special envoys, free from attack. It is totally saddening, to learn of the execution of this innocent young girl, who was herself undertaking humanitarian service at the point of her abduction by Boko Haram.
It is worrisome that Boko Haram seems to be gaining strength day by day, it troubles the mind that criminals and criminal activities seem to be on the rise lately, I am worried that ethnic clashes have been on the increase and the herdsmen/farmers clashes have not abated.
I commiserate with the family of Hauwa Liman and those others who have lost their relatives in similar circumstances and urge the government to intensify efforts rid Nigeria of terrorists and criminal gangs.
God bless Nigeria.
