PDP says Buruji kashamu faction judgement a joke

The attention of The Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), its members and other stakeholders have been drawn to the above orders made
– against the National Officers & the PDP –
by the Federal High Court, sitting in Abeokuta, on 2nd October 2018.

We wish to assure our teeming members that there is no cause for alarm, as all hands are on deck to reverse these ugly and most unmeritorious orders.

It is worthy to note that this Suit was sercretly filed in Abeokuta last week. There were NLC strikes and weekend / independence holidays AND the next working day, the Judge granted the Orders without giving the Party and its Nationsl officers the opportunity of being heard AND contrary to the Federal High Court rules and the Electoral Act.

Our immediate reaction was to ignore the mis-information on the social media platforms and other traditional media by agents of the disgraced and desperate political players who have since been expelled from the PDP.,
but are bent on undermining the peace & successes recorded over the years.

However, as dexterous politicians, we can’t be too careful, knowing the extent that these elements had gone in the past AND will be ready to go this time around.

We wish to assure our teeming supporters and party faithfuls as follows :-

(1) Our Legal team AND the P.D.P team of Senior Advocates have been meeting since and have resolved to take AND had indeed taken appropriate legal steps to immediately reverse the procured orders.

We will be unable to share details of their actions for obvious reasons.

(2) The National Working Committee of our Party has taken up the matter with the INEC.

(3) INEC has re-assured and reiterated its earlier position that, in line with the Supreme Court judgement, it will not accept list of candidates from any CHAPTER or unit of a political party, except the NATIONAL Executive Committee of the parties.
In other words, no State chapter of the P.D.P can submit list of candidates or delegates directly to INEC,
AND the PDP is resolute in its decision to keep the expelled members out of the Party.

(4) The National Executive of PDP has also re-stated its earlier commitment that it will only submit names of candidates who emerge from the primaries, conducted by the SIKIRULAI OGUNDELE led-Exco of the Ogun State PDP., including that of our amiable Governorship candidate, Hon (Dr.) Ladi Adebutu.

(5) Please recall that similar situation occurred before the Gubernatorial election in Ondo State last year. The PDP legal team took immediate steps AND got the orders reversed with two distinct, detailed sound Judgements of the Court of Appeal, sitting in Ado-Ekiti.

Remember that these expelled members and their financier – Prince Buruji Kashamu also led that “failed rebellion” in Ondo State.

(6) The National body of our party will also formally lodge complaints with the CJN, NJC and other supervisory institutions of the Judiciary.

(7) Our members should go about their normal primaries and Political campaign activities, as steps are on to redress these injustice and ugly developments, in a matter of days.

These fraud, forgeries, non-service and abuse of Court process cannot stand the test of time.

God bless‎ us all.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!!!
