2019: I didn’t purchase ADC Gov form for Ambode, Ikuforiji debunks social media report
Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji on Monday debunked reports in the social media that he had purchased a governorship form for the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to run for a second term on the platform of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC).
The alleged report had suggested that Ikuforiji, who also hails from Epe as Ambode, had moved to purchase the form on the premise that he may be denied a second term ticket if he participates in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries on Saturday, September 29.
Ikuforiji in a statement he signed and made available to the journalists, described the report as a hoax and a figment of imagination of the author, saying that there was no iota of truth in the said report.
“It is a hoax, it is totally fake news. There is no iota of truth in it and I therefore urge the public to totally disregard such report as it is just another concoction from mischief makers targeted to heat up the polity in the State especially within the All Progressives Congress (APC). Please ignore this falsehood,” the statement read.
